Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, but a nominal fee will apply. You may click here to download the quotation.
Please click here to register.

Can this be held outside of Klang Valley?

Absolutely! We encourage courses nationwide. Organizers will need to cover transportation fees.

What space is needed for the CPR+AED course?

You will need enough chairs for all participants to be seated during the theory session. For the practical session, each manikin requires approximately 4 feet by 4 feet of space, and we will provide one manikin for every two participants.

What if I do not have enough space?

You can use the Main Hall at our National HQ, depending on availability. Please contact us to check if the space can be reserved for your session.

What if I don’t have 30 participants?

You may join any of our public classes held at our National HQ.

What if I have more than 30 participants?

While we can accommodate up to 50 participants in a single class, please inform us in advance so we can ensure sufficient trainers and equipment are prepared for an optimal learning experience. Please ensure there is adequate room for both seating and practical activities.

Can I use the SJAM logo in my promotional materials?

Yes, please credit St. John Ambulance of Malaysia (English) or St. John Ambulans Malaysia (Malay) in all announcements and collateral. Logo usage is governed by Act 74. Share designs with us for permission before publicizing. Download the official SJAM logo here.

Will there be a certificate for participation?

This is not a competency course; therefore, no certificates will be provided. Organizers may issue their own Certificate of Attendance without the SJAM logo.

For classes involving students, we kindly request that bookings be made by teachers or lecturers. This ensures proper coordination and avoids issues, as we have encountered instances where students booked classes without prior consent and had to cancel at the last minute due to challenges in securing a venue.

Is it possible for students to organize this course at their school, college, or university?

For classes involving students, we kindly request that bookings be made by teachers or lecturers. Preferably, please send also an official letter to firstaid@sjam.org.my after booking. This ensures proper coordination and avoids issues, as we have encountered instances where students booked classes without prior consent and had to cancel at the last minute due to challenges in securing a venue.

Can I give a token of appreciation to trainers and volunteers?

Trainers strictly do not accept cash gifts. Donations can be made to ST JOHN AMBULANS MALAYSIA (CIMB 8000415552) and a tax exemption receipt can be issued. Click here for more details.

I still have questions. Who can I contact?

For quick responses, please send a WhatsApp text to HL. She prefers text messages as she is partially deaf.
