More than 100 people learnt Basic Life Support this weekend. The 3 free classes were held at Bandar Utama for 54 with majority senior citizens on Saturday (organised by BU1 Benaria Residents Association); 43 at National Headquarters and 27 at Melaka Tengah on Sunday. Participants learnt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and usage of AED in the 2-hour sessions. Classes are held free for the community, made possible by corporate clients. For every paid corporate class held, one CPR+AED course is held for the community for free.
BU1 Benaria Residents Association also made a generous donation in the name of St. John Ambulance of Malaysia to continue to spread lifesaving skills to the public.
Thanks to trainers for the sessions including Mdm. Indraini Saminathan, Duncan Oh, Kristil Tan, Tee Yuan Sheng, Lim Wee Kian, Wong Sin Jie, Chia Wai Yan and assistant Ying Yik Fung. Facilitators include Theo Kok Siong, Jennifer Lim Mei Ci, Hazel binti Othman, Nur Farahim binti Ibrahim, Nurfarahain binti Shahron, Muhammad Shukri bin Roslan, Muhammad Daniel bin Sahabuddin, T Faizal Shazlin bin T Noor Fazerl and Ammar Syahmi bin Aziz.
